The Media Development Center (MDC) at Birzeit University Palestine organized a couple of workshops in cooperation with the Arab-European Association for Media and Communication Researchers, targeting female media professionals as well as university institutions, municipalities, mosques, churches, federations, and unions.
The first workshop focussed on dismantling the weaknesses in the implementation of self-regulation for the benefit of female media professionals within the media institutions revealed by the pandemic. These varied from imbalances in daily work to structural issues within the institutions. The participants gained insights on self-organization for the benefit of female media professionals in the frame of Post-Coronavirus recovery efforts.
The second workshop was presented by the coordinator of the Quality and Evaluation Unit at the Media Development Center, Nibal Thawabteh. It was divided into two sessions: the first on monitoring community media in terms of concept and roles, and the second on employing community monitoring for the benefit of the Foundation’s objectives. The workshop also aimed to enable institutions to understand the methods of monitoring community media, and employ it for the benefit of achieving the objectives of the institution. For their part, the participants expressed their happiness to participate in the workshop, calling for in-depth and extended training in the field, as it will reflect positively on the planning, management and decision-making processes in their institutions, in addition to improving and developing their performance in the field of achieving goals.
نظم مركز تطوير الإعلام- جامعة بيرزيت، ورشة الرصد المجتمعي للإعلام، التي استهدفت طواقم الإعلام في المؤسسات المجتمعية الفلسطينية، بالتعاون مع الرابطة العربية الأوروبية.
واستهدفت الورشة التي قدمتها منسقة وحدة الجودة والتقييم في مركز تطوير الإعلام، نبال ثوابتة، طواقم الإعلام في البلديات والاتحادات والنقابات المحلية، وكان من بينها اتحاد المعلمين، ونقابة المهندسين، ونقابة المحامين، ونقابة الأطباء، وبلدية رام الله، وبلدية بتونيا، وبلدية البيرة، وبلدية الخليل، ومنتدى الخبرات.
وانقسمت الورشة التدريبية إلى جلستين: الأولى حول رصد الإعلام المجتمعي من حيث المفهوم والأدوار، والثانية حول توظيف الرصد المجتمعي لصالح أهداف المؤسسة.
كما هدفت الورشة إلى تمكين المؤسسات من فهم طرق الرصد للإعلام المجتمعي، وتوظيفه لصالح تحقيق أهداف المؤسسة.
من جهتهم، عبر المشاركون عن سعادتهم بالمشاركة في الورشة، مطالبين بتدريبٍ معمق وممتد في المجال، كونه سينعكس إيجاباً على عمليـات التخطيط والإدارة وصُنع القـرارات في مؤسساتهم، إضافةً إلى تحسين وتطوير أدائها في مجال إنجاز الأهداف، وتجنب ارتكاب الأخطاء قدر الإمكان.
